SpendBee

We respect your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through the SpendBee mobile app, why we collect it, and how it is stored.

SpendBee ("SpendBee," "we," "our," "us") is provided by ProAppLabs Development Studio Inc. By using the App you agree to the practices below. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

What we don't collect: We do not collect your full date of birth, bank or card details, contacts, photos, or precise location. SpendBee never connects to your bank.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • Provide core budgeting, price-check, and savings-goal features.
  • Sync your data between devices and back it up when you sign in.
  • Verify your premium subscription entitlement.
  • Troubleshoot bugs, prevent abuse, and improve the App.
  • Understand aggregated usage patterns through Firebase Analytics.

We never sell or rent your data, and SpendBee does not show third-party ads.

3. Where Your Data Lives

Mode Storage
Guest (no sign-in) Stays on your device only. Deleting the App removes the data permanently.
Signed-in Stored on your device and in your private, encrypted cloud backup on Google Firebase (USA), so it can sync between devices and survive a re-install.

4. Service Providers We Share Data With

We share the minimum data required to operate the App with the following sub-processors:

  1. Google Firebase - sign-in, cloud backup, analytics, crash reporting
  2. RevenueCat - subscription entitlement verification
  3. Apple App Store / Google Play - process and confirm subscription billing
  4. Authorities - only when legally required (e.g. valid court order or regulatory request)

These providers may store data in the United States and other countries. They are bound by their own privacy commitments and may only use your data to provide their service to us.

5. Retention

We keep signed-in user data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account in-app, we erase your cloud-stored profile, entries, and goals. Some service providers (e.g. analytics, billing) may retain anonymized records for limited periods to meet legal, tax, or fraud-prevention obligations.

6. Your Choices

  • Guest users: delete the App to erase all local data.
  • Signed-in users: use Menu > Delete Account to remove your account and all cloud-stored data.
  • Cancel subscription: manage or cancel from your Apple App Store or Google Play account; the App also links to those screens under Menu > Manage Subscription.
  • Diagnostics: on iOS you can opt out of sharing diagnostics with developers from Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements; on Android, from Settings > Google > Usage & diagnostics.

7. Children

SpendBee is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS in transit and encrypted storage at rest through our service providers. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential.

9. SpendBee Is Not Financial Advice

Important: SpendBee is a behavior-change and budgeting companion, not a financial advisor. Projections, work-hour conversions, retirement-year estimates, and other figures shown in the App are educational illustrations based only on the inputs you provide and simple compound-interest math.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. EU/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA/CPRA, Canada under PIPEDA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@proapplabs.com. We do not sell personal information.

11. Updates to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted here and is effective immediately upon posting. Material changes will be highlighted in-app or via the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance.
